ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 is sleek, confident, and absolutely gorgeous. Like its brethren, this model’s magnesium alloy lid has an attractive milky white paint sprayed on top, along with attractive micro-dots encapsulated by a prismatic membrane. There are a few indicator lights and the Zephyrus logo on the hinge.

Opening the lid reveals a soft painted Moonlight White pattern. The gorgeous RGB illuminated keys are what startled me the most as the keyboard was previously only illuminated by a simple white LED. The keyboard is surrounded by two small speaker vents, a sizable trackpad, and a separate row of media keys. With the exception of the chin, the bezels around the screen are relatively small, but they still make room for the webcam on the top bezel.

The screen was bright enough in the trailer for Liam Neeson’s latest B action movie (Memory) to project each book in the dimly lit room Neeson entered. The blue graffiti in the background really stands out on the console when Neeson is fighting someone in the restroom. The wrinkles around his eyes were also evident on the screen.

When I entered Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the village I was robbing was surrounded by beautifully colored vegetation. I can see bowls and baskets of random things on shelves all around me as I make my way through the game’s overcast huts. The game played extremely smoothly and caught my arrows flying through the air at 240Hz when I downscaled the image.

The ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 covers only 79.9% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which is lower than the 82.7% coverage of the average premium gaming laptop, according to our colorimeter. The Zephyrus G15, like its siblings, has a responsive keyboard with a cozy soft-touch deck that made my fingers and palms feel right at home.

On the 10FastFingers.com typing test, I achieved a speed of 78 words per minute, which is in line with my average. The keys are evenly spaced apart and protrude from the keyboard at the ideal level. Additionally, because it is a 15-inch notebook, there is a lot of room to work with on the deck.

The keyboard lighting was somewhat addressed by Asus. We have some vibrant RGB lights in place of the awful white lighting. The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor powers the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503 and comes with 32GB of RAM, which was more than enough to easily handle over 40 Google Chrome tabs and many 1080p YouTube videos.
